Shabbat For Kids At Heichal Leah

Excitement and Learning For our Young Members.

We believe that Shabbat should be a time of excitement and learning for everyone, especially our young members! Every week, we offer a dynamic Shabbat programme designed just for kids, filled with engaging activities, prayer, singing, and community bonding. Here’s a look at our Shabbat line-up for children:

Kids’ Morning Tefillah Service

Our Shabbat morning begins with a dedicated tefillah (prayer) service where children learn the beauty and meaning of Shabbat prayers. With age-appropriate guidance and encouragement, kids explore the significance of the prayers, helping them develop confidence and connection to tradition in a warm, interactive setting.

Kids’ Shiur

As part of the morning tefillah, children gather for a fun and engaging shiur (lesson) that brings Torah stories and lessons to life. Led by our enthusiastic teachers, these sessions introduce Jewish values, weekly Torah portions, and Shabbat themes through stories, discussions, and hands-on activities. Kids are encouraged to ask questions and share ideas, making learning an exciting and meaningful part of their Shabbat experience.

Kids’ Tehillim with Singing and Prizes

Later in the morning, we gather for Tehillim (Psalms) where children recite selected verses together in a joyful, song-filled atmosphere. With lively tunes and group singing, Tehillim becomes a time of celebration and unity. To make the experience even more special, children earn small prizes for their participation and enthusiasm, reinforcing their love for Shabbat and Tehillim.
